Paul G. Wakefield, Esq. is the owner of Wakefield Law, PC, a law firm located in Troy, Michigan, which specializes in estate and business planning.

Paul graduated with distinction from Walsh College where he studied finance with the intent to become a Certified Financial Planner. To gain experience, he worked as a financial paraplanner during his last two years of college and became interested in becoming an estate planning attorney. Paul graduated Cum Laude from the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University Law School) within the school’s tax curriculum. He was the founder and president of the DCL Tax and Estate Planning Society and a co-founder of the law school’s first Tax Moot Court team. After law school, Paul spent twelve years working as an estate planning attorney for a large Michigan law firm before leaving to start his own firm in 2004.

Paul has been an estate planning attorney for over 30 years now and is licensed to practice in both Michigan and Florida. Over his career, he has drafted thousands of estate plans and has performed hundreds of presentations on estate planning topics. Paul has made several guest appearances on various radio, television and cable programs in the Detroit metropolitan area. He also served as a speaker for numerous training meetings with some of the largest brokerage firms, insurance companies and accounting firms in the area.

Paul is married and has three adult children. He splits his time between his home in Oakland County and his home on Torch Lake in northern Michigan. Paul has numerous hobbies which include mountain biking, off-road motorcycles, boating, hunting and land management for wildlife.
