Mr. Wakefield is a partner with the law firm of Wakefield, Sutherland & Lubera, PLC which specializes in estate, business and Medicaid planning. Mr. Wakefield is a frequent speaker for both public and professional groups on topics involving estate, business and tax planning strategies. Mr. Wakefield is a co-host of “Your Money Matters”, a monthly webcast appearing on WDIV’s clickondetroit.com and has appeared as a guest on various radio and cable television programs. Mr. Wakefield was also selected as a 2010, 2011 and 2012 Top-Scoring Wealth Manager (for estate planning) in the Detroit Area as published in Hour Detroit Magazine.
Mr. Wakefield is licensed to practice law in both Michigan and Florida and is a member of several professional groups, including the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.
Mr. Wakefield graduated Cum Laude from the Detroit College of Law within the College's Tax Curriculum and, while in law school, became the Founder and President of the Detroit College of Law Tax and Estate Planning Society and was a member of the Tax Moot Court team. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with distinction from Walsh College.

Thomas J. Mohan, Esq. (Of Counsel)
Mr. Mohan's practice is focused on assisting clients with wealth preservation and wealth transfer planning. He designs estate and business plans to minimize transfer taxes and to provide optimum protection for the client's heirs. The ultimate goal is to keep the family assets in the family. Frequently these plans involve a strategic transfer of a family-owned business. When business ownership transfers to the next generation, Mr. Mohan employs creative approaches to maximize flexibility and design a plan which is equitable for all the client's intended heirs.

Connie Meech graduated from Wayne State Law School earning a Juris Doctor degree. While in law school, she worked as a law clerk for then visiting Judge James S. Thorburn at the Oakland County Circuit Court. After passing the bar, she went into private practice focusing on family law and estate planning. She has served as court-appointed guardian ad-litem and attorney in guardianship, conservatorship and mental health cases. Ms. Meech holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Western Michigan University with dual minors in French and General Marketing. She is a member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.
Ms. Meech lives in Lake Orion with her husband and four children. She is active in her community serving as Secretary of the lake Orion Board of Education and is a member of the Orion Area Chamber of Commerce.
